ELGIN, IL July 26, 2017 – Clinical Computer Systems, Inc. (CCSI), a leading provider of perinatal software, announces the appointment of Project Manager Emmem Ekorikoh, PMP, CSM, LSSGB, ITIL, MSMIS/MPH, to the board of Black Diamond Charities in Chicago.
“Our company is very proud of Emmem’s most recent accomplishment, and we’re not surprised she was asked to fill such an important role,” said Director Customer Service Jim Spoden. “Especially since we have watched her successfully manage large-scale, multiple location OBIX® system projects with confidence and professionalism. Some of her strongest assets include her ability to lead and guide a group toward a common goal.”
Ekorikoh became involved with the nonprofit Black Diamond Charities, a unique project management fundamentals class for U.S. military and veterans to help advance their careers and set goals for their transition to civilian life, upon completion of her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in October 2016. After learning about the organization’s mission from a coworker, she accepted an invitation to observe a 5-week class, began volunteering as a teacher, and was surprised to learn she was unanimously nominated to the board.
“During my career, and in preparation for the PMP exam, I have had tremendous support from a lot of people. I was honored to be mentored by so many, and I view my involvement in this organization as my way of saying ‘thank you’ to all of them. Basically, I was inspired to pay-it-forward,” said Ekorikoh.
