October 2025 Issue
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time for all of us to pause, learn, and take action against a disease that impacts 2.3 million women worldwide every year (and men too). The pink ribbons and events are hard to miss, but this month is about more than a color—it’s about making a difference.
Here are a few simple ways we can all play a part:
- Learn your personal risk factors and talk with your healthcare provider.
- Schedule regular screenings—starting at age 40 or earlier if you’re high risk.
- Support friends, family, and colleagues navigating a diagnosis, including metastatic breast cancer.
- Advocate for continued research and funding that leads to better treatments for every stage of the disease.
And remember, breast cancer isn’t just a women’s issue—about 2,800 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed in 2025.
This month is the perfect reminder to check in with yourself, encourage loved ones to get screened, and help keep the conversation—and the momentum—going. Together, we can make an impact.
